Daring.
Courage.
These are the hallmarks of a Soul’s escape from bondage—bondage of self-ridicule; bondage of other people’s opinions; bondage of the ego’s temptations to sate greed, pride, envy, lust, gluttony, and power.
When you find yourself in the very human trap of succumbing to these ego foes and losing your sense of purpose, think of what a firefighter instructs when caught on fire.
Stop, Drop & Roll.
To stop takes bravery. To drop involves daring to order to shed the pretense and pride of the ego. To roll involves the continual maintenance of courage to live one's truth.
When the flames of the ego have been extinguished, the Soul’s dreamer can be free to imagine, create, innovate, and fulfill its deeper purpose.
Inspiration for the Day: “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” –Harriet Tubman
