Getting out of ourselves and reaching out to help someone else in need can have paradoxical magical cures to our own pains.
Moreover, the foundation of one’s purpose is often filled with the resilience and grit from surviving struggles and pain. One of the cornerstones of resilience and grit is shaped through connection with others.
When connecting to another, suddenly the broken heart, lost job, financial difficulty, grief, trauma, and stress becomes a powerful tool for empathizing with another person in similar pain. Helping them aids the healing and meaning for both of you—and a greater purpose is discovered in the alchemical healing connection.
Inspiration for the Day: “If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” –Barack Obama
