Finding meaning and fulfilling one’s purpose can be accomplished through many activities.
Having a proverbial “day job” may provide income for paying for home, food, and basic necessities while painting, writing, or restoring an old car can serve to sate other essential soul needs. The combination can work together to fulfill one’s purpose.
You can resolve the conflict by expanding your mind to embrace multiple possibilities. It helps to remember that it is not an “either/or” (like, either I do this job or that job)—it can be a both/and. I can do BOTH this AND that. And maybe a little of this and that too!
Inspiration for the Day: “Genuine tragedies in the world are not conflicts between right and wrong. They are conflicts between two rights.” –Hegel
