We can be inspired, motivated and even coerced by others to make a change in our lives, yet the burden lies with us to take action.
Thinking we need outside help to get us moving can be a self-deceptive lie that keeps us from engaging with life the way our soul is urging.
Remember the lesson of the baby chick. The baby chick is developing essential muscles and neural pathways necessary for survival when it painstakingly chips away at the eggshell that’s containing it. The chick would actually perish if someone, or something, were to come along and help it break out of its shell.
You might be experiencing a similar situation where necessary “muscles” are being developed from any obstacles arising along your path, allowing you to ultimately thrive.
Inspiration for the Day: “Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.” –Carol Burnett
